{"id":9007,"date":"2026-03-25T14:27:34","date_gmt":"2026-03-25T14:27:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aisfor.it\/progetto\/greenfit\/"},"modified":"2026-03-30T14:14:26","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T14:14:26","slug":"greenfit","status":"publish","type":"progetto","link":"https:\/\/www.aisfor.it\/en\/progetto\/greenfit\/","title":{"rendered":"GreenFit"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GreenFit is a European Union project, funded under the Horizon Europe program (Grant Agreement No. 101216835), which aims to strengthen the climate, economic and digital resilience of European agriculture.<br\/>The project stems from the observation that many farms, especially in rural and peripheral areas, are facing increasing challenges: climate stress (drought, emerging pests), increased production costs, pressure on margins along the supply chain, shortage of skilled labor and difficulty in accessing digital technologies that can really be used in the field.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GreenFit intervenes on these aspects by proposing concrete and scalable solutions: digital tools to support daily agronomic decisions, advanced monitoring systems (e.g. drones), practical and immersive training for farmers and technicians, infrastructure to improve connectivity in rural areas, and operating models that strengthen the role of farmers in agri-food value chains.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal is to provide an integrated package of solutions for a more sustainable, competitive agriculture capable of adapting to climate change, keeping the real needs of rural communities at the center.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Supporting the transition to climate-smart agriculture, improving efficiency in the use of water, fertilizers, energy inputs and plant protection products, and reducing waste along the production cycle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide farmers with decision-making tools based on real and easily usable data (e.g. personalized agronomic advice on irrigation, phytosanitary protection, soil management), even in contexts with limited connectivity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthening the economic and contractual resilience of farmers, giving greater transparency and traceability to production practices, so as to enhance the environmental quality of crops and make it recognizable on the market.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create and disseminate replicable training models, which transfer technical knowledge in a practical and immediately applicable way on the farm, reducing dependence on highly specialized external personnel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare the scalability of the solutions developed, developing tools, methodologies and guidelines that can be replicated in different European agricultural and climatic contexts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Actions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Development of an integrated decision support system (Farm Management Information System &#8211; FMIS) that combines weather data, satellite observations, soil analysis, crop stress indicators and forecasting models for irrigation, fertilization and defense.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creation of a multilingual AgriChatbot based on Artificial Intelligence capable of providing real-time operational recommendations to farmers, with a language that is understandable and close to daily field practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementation of &#8220;Drone-in-a-Box&#8221; systems, i.e. automatic drones that carry out surveys and monitoring of agricultural plots (plant health, soil moisture, infestations), reducing control times and costs and allowing targeted interventions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creation of immersive training courses (XR-AgriTrain), through augmented reality and virtual reality, to transfer practical skills on efficient irrigation, crop management, pest monitoring and maintenance of agronomic practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creation of a Digital Agriculture Observatory, which maps needs, barriers, good practices and level of adoption of digital and sustainable technologies in the various territories involved, with the aim of producing operational and policy recommendations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of infrastructure and network models dedicated to rural areas (including local connectivity approaches and offline\/low-bandwidth use of digital tools), to ensure that the designed solutions are truly accessible even in underserved areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Involvement of the actors of the agri-food chain and local authorities to promote agreements, incentives and operational protocols that make the transition sustainable economically, not only technically.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Partners:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The GreenFit consortium is made up of research organisations, universities, technology SMEs, agricultural associations and rural networks active in several European countries. The project is coordinated by DRAXIS RESEARCH VENTURES (DReVen).
