The <strong>building sector<\/strong> is one of the largest consumers of energy in Europe, responsible for almost 40% of energy consumption and 36% of CO2 emissions. In addition, <strong>social housing<\/strong>, the specific objective of the project, is in a particularly critical state due to the lack of funding to carry out a complete and structured renovation of the buildings and a long-term energy strategy.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project addresses the problems <strong>of lack of funding<\/strong> and contributes to <strong>reducing energy poverty<\/strong>, a growing problem in Europe, further accentuated due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is estimated that to date at least 50 million European citizens, for economic, building efficiency or even cultural reasons, have difficulty paying energy bills and give up using heating systems. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TIGER intends to carry out <strong>energy redevelopment<\/strong> interventions in 126 buildings of the <strong>Abruzzo ATER <\/strong>heritage located in 58 municipalities of the Abruzzo Region, providing for investments of over <strong>16 million<\/strong> euros (initial value, susceptible to be increased through a resource multiplier mechanism) through the experimentation<strong> of innovative financing models <\/strong>which integrate resources and incentives at regional and national level (tax deductions, incentives, ERDF, subsidized loans, thermal account, etc.) with energy performance contracts (EPC).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interventions will bring <strong>estimated energy savings <\/strong>of more than 30% and an expected <strong>reduction in CO<sub>2 <\/sub>emissions<\/strong> of over 1760 tCO<sub>2<\/sub>\/year, thus contributing to the decarbonization of the building stock.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Objectives:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TIGER aims to improve the energy efficiency of the public housing stock. In particular, it provides: <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; the energy requalification of over <strong>1,500<\/strong> public housing units in<strong> 126 buildings <\/strong>in 58 municipalities of the Abruzzo Region<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; the reduction of more than <strong>30% <\/strong>in energy consumption and <strong>1760 tCO<sub>2<\/sub>\/year<\/strong> of emissions<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; combat the phenomenon of<strong> energy poverty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Actions: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The range of energy requalification interventions includes:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; The energy requalification of the ATER, with interventions aimed at ensuring the <strong>thermal insulation<\/strong> of opaque structures, the <strong>replacement of air conditioning systems<\/strong> and the <strong>replacement of windows<\/strong> including fixtures.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; The development of a <strong>complex investment program <\/strong>which, through one or more European tenders announced by the Abruzzo Region and divided into 5 territorial lots, will make it possible to select <strong>5 ESCos<\/strong> &#8211; Energy Service Companies &#8211; which will carry out the interventions in the selected buildings.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; The creation, under the responsibility of the Abruzzo Region, of a<strong> working group <\/strong>that will include the technical, financial, legal and communication skills necessary to manage all phases of the Project for the complete management of all phases of the project.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Support<strong> helpdesks<\/strong> for tenants will be structured and training and communication programs will be launched;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; The introduction <strong>of a new energy performance contract <\/strong>for tenants and a lease contract that will take into account the interventions carried out and the consequent decrease in energy costs.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Finally, a &#8220;<strong>TIGER model<\/strong>&#8221; will be created for the implementation of investments in residential construction that can be replicated at national level.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>This project has been funded by the European Union&#8217;s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under agreement no. 101018403.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The TIGER Project is part of the context of European energy (Green Deal and Renovation Wave) and social policies.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":9133,"menu_order":0,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[137,135,142],"class_list":["post-9134","progetto","type-progetto","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-energy-poverty","category-ongoing","category-requalification"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
