COMANAGE: An Innovative Training Path for Sustainable Energy Governance

In the realm of global challenges tied to the transition towards a sustainable energy economy, the COMANAGE project positions itself as a pioneer in addressing the complex issues of governance and management within energy communities and citizen-driven initiatives within the European Union.

At the core of the COMANAGE project lies the objective to promote sustainable energy practices through the implementation of the Energy Communities Governance Framework (ECGF). Simultaneously, the project provides the Energy Communities Governance Toolkit (ECGT), a key resource to assist public authorities in addressing challenges related to energy communities.

The COMANAGE project is gearing up to achieve a new milestone with a develop and implement an online training course. This course plays a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities of PAs in governing and managing energy communities effectively.

The course, adopting a hybrid format with online modules and in-person sessions, aims to provide the skills and practical knowledge necessary to promote sustainable energy initiatives. This methodology ensures flexible and personalized learning, catering to the diverse needs of an audience composed of municipalities, citizens, and PA members.

In the current phase of the project, the development of lessons is nearing completion. The team is now gearing up for the phase of recording lessons and creating interactive quizzes. This interactive approach ensures active engagement of participants, allowing them to apply the acquired knowledge in the specific context of energy communities. The English version of the platform is expected to be ready by the end of December, marking a significant step towards the global dissemination of these valuable resources.

In conclusion, the COMANAGE project stands as a beacon of innovation in the field of energy transition. Through the combination of practical tools and targeted training, the project not only supports the growth and sustainability of existing energy communities but also encourages the emergence of new community-owned energy projects, laying the foundation for a more sustainable and participatory energy future.
