COMANAGE: A new training path for the Governance of Sustainable Energy

In the context of global challenges for a sustainable energy transition, the COMANAGE project stands out as a pioneer in addressing the complex issues of governance and management of energy communities and citizen-led initiatives within the European Union. The project aims to promote sustainable energy practices through the Comanage Open Platform (COP), which brings together all the tools developed by the project
The next milestone of the project is the implementation of an online training course, to be launched on June 11. This free program, co-financed by the European Union, offers municipalities, citizens, and other stakeholders the opportunity to better understand and manage Renewable Energy Communities (RECs).
The flexible program consists of five modules, each focusing on specific topics. Each module concludes with a verification test, allowing participants to consolidate their skills and earn a certificate of participation.
Despite being based on a common course in english, the project has been adapted to address the national specificities of the three Pilot Countries, with content developed in their respective languages. This approach ensures that the training is relevant and applicable to local contexts.
For those who wish to access the first lesson, it will be available for free starting tomorrow, June 11, by registering on the platform. The course adopts a hybrid format, combining online modules with in-person sessions, facilitating flexible and personalized learning. Quizzes and interactive tools are designed to ensure active engagement, fostering the practical application of acquired knowledge.
COMANAGE represents a milestone in promoting a more sustainable and participatory energy future. By combining practical tools and targeted training, the project supports the growth and sustainability of existing energy communities and encourages the emergence of new community-led energy projects.
