AISFOR will participate in ESCF's online event 'Scaling Proven Innovations to Overcome Europe's Challenges'.
On 13th of December, 2021 AISFOR will participate in the event organised by ESCF where the results of the SUITE project, Scaling Up Together Innovation for Energy Vulnerability, will be presented.
The ESCF was created and funded under the European research and innovation programme Horizon 2020 with the collaboration of Genio (Ireland), the Robert Bosch Stiftung (Germany) and the King Baudouin Foundation (Belgium) to fund successful social innovations, and by supporting partnerships, ensure their implementation and dissemination.
The event aims to share the knowledge gained by the participants on how successful social innovations can become scalable at different territorial levels and what are the benefits of their implementation at national and international level.
Furthermore, the scalability plans of the seven projects selected by the ESCF call for proposals will be presented, as they propose innovative and efficient solutions to the following problems: supporting the elderly in communities, helping hard-to-employ individuals to find and keep a job, providing adequate social housing in difficult conditions, strengthening digital inclusion and creating alternative solutions for migrant detention and, finally, tackling energy poverty through the ASSIST model, proposed by the recently concluded SUITE project.
SUITE won the call for proposals and during the last year the partnership has been working on the preparation of the scalability plan for the ASSIST social innovation model, developed and tested within the Horizon2020 Assist2gether project, in five countries (Italy, Spain, Poland, Hungary and Romania).
The scaling-up plan is composed of five national plans, designed with a holistic and participatory approach to respond optimally to local needs and peculiarities, and a European Plan to build a supranational umbrella capable of collecting and networking the many active realities on the issue of energy poverty, both those developed within the SUITE project and external ones.
To take part in the event, you can connect to the Zoom platform from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm on 13th of December 2021 by registering at this link.
SUITE was the first step in building something new! Many other meetings will be scheduled in the coming months - stay tuned on our social channels for dates and topics or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org requesting to be included on the mailing list for activities on energy poverty
