Roma Capitale, with the collaboration of AISFOR and Banco dell’energia, has renewed its commitment to help citizens reduce energy expenditure with Informa Energia, the mobile desk dedicated to information and free support on energy savings, household consumption and bills.
After the success of the first edition, the service restarted with its second phase on 20 April and will continue until 30 October, returning directly to the neighbourhoods to reach citizens in their municipalities. A camper equipped as an information desk is retracing the 15 Municipalities of Rome Capital, stopping every week in central and accessible spaces such as local markets, squares and public services.
On board the camper, to support citizens, the RETE ASSIST Home Energy Tutors (TED): qualified experts who offer free advice and concrete support on highly topical issues, from the analysis and reading of energy bills to access to social bonuses, from strategies to reduce domestic consumption to facilities for installing solar systems or replacing inefficient appliances, up to the opportunities offered by energy communities. All accompanied by the distribution of information materials on the various topics.
In this second edition, with the arrival of the hot season, the desk focuses in particular on the phenomenon of summer energy poverty, offering information and support dedicated to the difficulties related to the hottest months: an issue that is often underestimated but which hits the most vulnerable sections of the population hard.
The initiative has already received an important recognition in the field: during one of the first stops, the camper received a visit from the Mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri, confirming the administration’s attention to the work carried out in the area.
The service has so far reached five municipalities and this week it takes a short break. It will start again on Monday 8 June from Municipio VI, bringing free support and advice to the citizens of Tor Bella Monaca.
