Applications are open until 17 April 2026 at 18:00 (CET) for the EPAH 2026 call for technical assistance on energy poverty, aimed at local administrations of European Union countries, also in partnership with other actors in the area.
The call, active from 16 February 2026 (9:00 CET), provides a personalized technical assistance service aimed at strengthening capacities, tools and knowledge to support local policies and actions to combat energy poverty.
The Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH) is the European Commission’s main initiative dedicated to combating energy poverty. Launched in 2020, EPAH operates as a European competence platform on the subject, working alongside municipalities, public bodies and local actors to address energy poverty in a structured and consistent way with different local contexts.
EPAH provides a technical assistance service assigned through a dedicated tender. The assistance accompanies local administrations and territorial partners in the different phases of the work on energy poverty: analysis of the context, definition of strategies and intervention plans and support for the implementation of actions. The selected projects receive expert support for a period of up to 9 months, with an estimated commitment of between 60 and 150 hours, through both remote and face-to-face working methods.
For 2026, EPAH plans to select about 50 proposals, of which 20 are dedicated to territories characterized by severe energy poverty.
The programme has already concluded two editions of technical assistance, launched in 2022 and 2023, working with around 85 local administrations across Europe. On the official EPAH website it is possible to consult examples and cases of previous technical assistance, useful for understanding the type of interventions developed and the results obtained.
Applications must be submitted exclusively through the EU Survey platform, according to the procedures indicated on the official page of the call, by 31 March 2026, 18:00 CET.
