Roma Capitale’s mobile desk dedicated to information, training and support on energy saving issues.
The Informa Energia project was born as a mobile service of information, training and support on the issues of domestic energy, energy saving and energy poverty. The initiative, promoted by Roma Capitale as part of the activities of the “Rome for the Climate” portal, is carried out in collaboration with AISFOR and Banco dell’energia, with the aim of offering citizens a free, independent and easily accessible point of reference to find their way around bills, consumption, social bonuses, the energy market, home efficiency, photovoltaics and Renewable Energy Communities.
Informa Energia is based on a model of itinerant mobile counter: a camper progressively reaches the Municipalities of Rome Capital, stopping in the neighborhoods and places of greatest traffic, such as local markets and squares, to directly intercept citizens and offer personalized advice. The service is aimed at all citizens, with particular attention to people and households most exposed to energy vulnerability, such as the elderly, low-income families, foreign citizens, people with difficulties in navigating the energy market, residents of inefficient buildings or in critical housing conditions.
In the second round of the project, launched in 2026, Informa Energia has also strengthened its focus on summer energy poverty. The spring and summer activities have in fact made it possible to address issues related to heat at home, living comfort, the conscious use of cooling and the management of consumption in the warmer months. For this reason, the information materials have been updated with new content dedicated to the energy market and domestic cooling, also accompanied by communication tools consistent with the summer period, such as Informa Energia-branded fans.
Objectives
- Strengthen citizens’ energy awareness by offering clear, accessible and independent information on domestic consumption, bills and energy saving opportunities.
- Supporting people in conditions of energy vulnerability, helping them to find their way around social bonuses, concessions, energy offers, protection tools and practical solutions to reduce consumption.
- Promote a proximity service in the Municipalities of Rome Capital, bringing directly to the neighborhoods a free and recognizable mobile counter, capable of intercepting even citizens who find it difficult to access traditional information channels.
- Facilitating access to the energy transition, informing citizens about the opportunities related to photovoltaics, Renewable Energy Communities, domestic energy efficiency and sustainable behavior.
- To deepen the social dimension of energy poverty, collecting testimonies and real stories useful for better understanding the impact of energy costs on people’s daily lives.
